Why is the book called 'Almost Paradise' ?

Christina Rossetti wrote many poems about Paradise or which mention Paradise. The phrase 'almost paradise' occurs in at least two of her poems - Rest  and Day Dreams - and both poems are highly characteristic of  her. Comments on her views of Paradise and its relationship with Eden and Heaven can be found in the notes to particular poems.
